Tom Jackson
Tom is a partner, he joined the firm in 2018 and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2020. Before that he worked for a top-tier Maltese law firm from 2010 as head of the corporate services department. Tom has an Law Degree and in 2020 he received a first from Anglia Ruskin for his master’s thesis on the regulation of cryptocurrencies.
Max Kapp
Max is a partner who joined in 2021. He qualified as an attorney in South Africa in 1999 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2010. His main practice areas have included corporate law, equity and trusts and intellectual property. Max holds a Law Degree from the University of the Free State.
Hugh Tallamy
Hugh joined the firm as a partner in 2021, he was admitted as a solicitor in 1977 and brings a wealth of experience from many areas of practice. His current role is mainly focused on probate (including contentious probate) and wills. Hugh received his Law Degree from the University of Birmingham.
Stephen Yiu
Stephen is a Notary Public and was admitted as a solicitor in 2008. He joined Staploes as a consultant in 2022 and is based in central London where he supports the firm with his notarial and immigration expertise. Stephen has a Masters of Law from London and a Notarial Qualification from Cambridge University. He speaks fluent Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) and is comfortable working in French and Spanish.
Sonia Pervaz
Sonia joined the team in 2023 as head of conveyancing. She is an experienced conveyancer having worked for several national conveyancing practices. Sonia obtained her LLB (Hons) from Northampton University in 2019 and hopes to be admitted as a solicitor in 2025.
Ellie Loaring
Ellie joined the firm in 2021 as practice manager having previously worked in various management roles related to training and development including formerly at a magic circle law firm. Ellie achieved her Law Degree at the University in Law in London.
Charmaine Kapp
Charmaine is a South African solicitor admitted in 1998 with experience in general practice and conveyancing who joined the team in 2023.
Heidi Blackburn
Heidi joined the firm in 2023 as receptionist in the Soham office.
Ayesha Thompson
Ayesha joined the firm in 2021 as legal cashier, she is accredited by the Institute of Legal Finance and Management and has worked as a legal cashier since 1999.
Nicole Chapman
Nicole Chapman is a conveyancer who joined the firm in 2022. She is pursuing her Level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice.
David North
David joined the firm in 2019 as Head of IT, with over 30 years experience. Specialist in collaboration services using Google & Microsoft, with additional responsibilities for Internet Security.
Zoe Scott
Office Administrator, Zoe joined us in 2022, on a part-time basis, to support the growing Westminster office.
